Matured in former Islay casks that had held peated whisky, it is one year older than the 2023 Ploughing Edition. It brings the fruity, cereal character of Lochlea’s spirit together with savoury smoke and a coastal saline note.

Lochlea Distillery is located on a working farm in South Ayrshire. It grows its own barley and matures its whisky on the farm. Converted farm buildings house its mashing, fermentation and distillation operations, while former cattle sheds serve as cask warehouses. Spirit first flowed through its stills in August 2018, and two copper pot stills help shape its fruit-led house style. In selecting casks, Lochlea aims to keep the character of the barley and spirit discernible alongside the cask’s influence.
