Special Features:

Mack is made with the distillery’s elegant recipe. This Swedish single malt matures in 200-litre ex-bourbon casks and is bottled at 40%. It is not smoky. Oak remains restrained on the palate, leaving room for the bright fruit and vanilla notes.

Pear, apple and citrus give Mack its youthful, clear opening. Vanilla and honey add sweetness, while herbs and mild spices recall the new-make spirit. Apricot, cinnamon and almond join them on the palate. Pear, vanilla and gentle oak remain in the fairly short finish.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose offers pear, apple and citrus, accompanied by vanilla and honey. Herbs and mild spices add further accents.
• Palate: Vanilla, orange and apricot lead on the palate. Honey, cinnamon and almond remain more subtle in the background.
• Finish: The finish is fairly short; pear and vanilla come forward, while the oak stays restrained.

Distillery/Bottler:

The idea of making Swedish malt whisky arose in 1998 at a gathering of eight friends; one year later, in 1999, they founded Mackmyra Svensk Whisky. From the outset, the company used Swedish ingredients, including locally grown barley. Mackmyra still uses Swedish ingredients and produces whisky at its Gravity Distillery, where the layout of the production stages makes use of gravity. The company is now part of the No.1 Beverage Group. Mack is bottled by the distillery itself.
