Matusalem 23 y.o. Gran Reserva - new packaging
Special features: The Matusalem Gran Reserva 23 years is a masterpiece of rum craftsmanship, aged for at least 23 years in selected oak barrels using the Solera method. This long aging imparts remarkable depth and complexity. The name "Matusalem" is derived from the biblical Methuselah, known for his old age, and reflects the extensive aging of this rum.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Seductive aromas of sweet vanilla, caramel, and fine oak, accompanied by a hint of ripe plums and dried fruits.
Palate: A velvety, rounded body with notes of caramel, brown sugar, and crème brûlée, complemented by delicate nuances of honey, toffee, and ripe fruits.
Finish: Long and warm, with a pleasant aftertaste of vanilla, wood notes, and a hint of dark chocolate.
Distillery/Bottler: Matusalem & Company was founded in 1872 in Santiago de Cuba by brothers Benjamin and Eduardo Camp. They combined their knowledge of cognac and sherry production with the Solera method to create a rum of exceptional quality. After the Cuban Revolution, production was moved to the Dominican Republic, where it continues to this day.
