This single-cask release puts its Petite Champagne origins centre stage. Mauxion Selection bottles the Cognac from cask number 60 at its cask strength of 62%. It is neither chill-filtered nor coloured. The limited release combines fruity notes with the influence of oak.

The 0.7-litre bottle comes in a wooden box. The clear glass reveals the Cognac’s natural colour, while a gold label completes the presentation.

Distillery/Bottler:

The Mauxion family has roots in Houlette, France, dating back to the 16th century. In 1743, Antoine Mauxion began making eau-de-vie from grapes grown in his own vineyard. The family tradition encompasses grape growing, winemaking and distillation in copper stills. The spirits then mature in French oak casks to become Cognac.

Mauxion Selection focuses on mature Cognacs from the Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Borderies and Fins Bois growing areas. The maturity achieved is central to the selection. Cognacs from the individual crus are offered at cask strength and without blending, keeping their respective origins at the forefront. This release comes from Petite Champagne.
