Barry Crockett Legacy has been a permanent part of the Midleton portfolio since 2011; this bottling dates from 2023. The Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey honours Barry Crockett, Midleton's long-serving Master Distiller.

Malted and unmalted barley form the basis of this triple-distilled whiskey. It matured primarily in ex-bourbon casks made from American oak, with a smaller proportion aged in new American oak casks. The whiskey is bottled at 46% ABV without chill filtration or added colouring.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, vanilla and toasted oak meet lime, juicy green berries and ripe pear. Green bell pepper adds a fresh vegetal accent.
• Palate: On the palate, lime and the sweetness of mandarin combine with delicate peppery spice. Cinnamon, vanilla and oak lend additional depth to the bright citrus fruit.
• Finish: Fruit and spices remain present throughout the long finish, while the defined structure of American oak gradually emerges.

Distillery/Bottler:

Midleton Distillery in County Cork produced and bottled this Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey. Barry Crockett, after whom the edition is named, was born in the Distiller's Cottage on the distillery grounds. During his more than three decades as Master Distiller, he shaped the house style and established the Midleton Very Rare range.
