Midleton Very Rare Vintage Release 2024 0.7 l

Special features: The Midleton Very Rare Vintage Release 2024 is a blended whiskey, produced by Irish Distillers Ltd. This edition, crafted by Master Distiller Kevin O'Gorman, brings together the finest casks from the distillery. It features a mix of first-fill whiskey casks and charred bourbon barrels. With an alcohol content of 40%, this whiskey is offered in a 700 ml bottle. The bottling is titled 'Release 2024' and is distinctly designed.

Tasting Notes:

  • Nose: The nose presents aromas of vanilla, herbal and floral notes, complemented by garden fruits. The profile is rounded off with pot still spice, toffee, and heather honey.
  • Palate: On the palate, tropical fruits, crème brûlée, and toffee apple unfold, along with pot still spice and hints of toasted wood.
  • Finish: The finish is long-lasting and characterized by fruity notes as well as a pronounced wood character.

Distillery/Bottler: The Midleton Distillery, the largest distillery in Ireland, is known for producing renowned whiskey brands, including Jameson and Redbreast. For the limited edition Midleton Very Rare 2024, both single pot still and single grain whiskeys were used. These whiskeys matured in a combination of first fill ex-American whiskey oak barrels and a smaller number of refill oak barrels. Kevin O'Gorman, the Master Distiller, played a significant role in the composition of this bottling.
