The maturation took place in a Virgin American Oak Cask, contributing to an intense concentration of aromas. Tasting Notes:
- Nose: A complex bouquet of spicy rye bread, accompanied by fruity notes of tropical fruits such as passion fruit and overripe banana. A hint of oak and caramelized mandarin zest rounds off the aroma.
- Palate: Full-bodied and rich with a harmonious balance between spicy rye, sweet vanilla, and a nutty undertone.
- Finish: Long-lasting with a fine balance of oaky notes and a touch of chocolate.
Distillery/Bottler: The Zuidam Distillery, founded in 1975 by Fred van Zuidam, is one of the last independent distilleries in the Netherlands. It stands for artisanal perfection and the use of natural ingredients without artificial additives. Under the leadership of Patrick and Gilbert van Zuidam, award-winning whiskies, genever, gins, rums, and liqueurs are produced here.
