Ten years of maturation in American white oak casks shape this Dutch Millstone rye whisky. The whisky was distilled in September 2014 and bottled in March 2025. It was bottled at 52.6% cask strength without added colouring or chill filtration. The edition is limited to 2,628 bottles and presented in a tube.

For this bottling, Zuidam uses rye that is gently milled by windmills without generating excessive heat. The mash ferments for five days at a low temperature, after which the spirit is distilled twice in small copper pot stills.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, stewed red apples and dark berries mingle with the deep sweetness of raisins and plums. Cedarwood, vanilla and a delicate liquorice note complement the fruity profile.
• Palate: On the palate, plums and raisins meet honeyed sweetness, ginger and cinnamon. Peppery rye spice and old leather add definition to the balanced, aromatically concentrated impression.
• Finish: The finish is long, pleasantly warming and marked by intense spice. Delicate oak and a hint of caramel linger alongside it.

Zuidam Distillers in Baarle-Nassau is an independent family business. The family crafts its spirits and extracts in-house. Zuidam produces whisky under the Millstone brand, while its range also includes genever, gin, rum and liqueurs.
