Special Features:

This Miltonduff matured for 17 years in refill sherry butt #900778. Distilled on 12 November 2007, it was bottled by Elixir Distillers on 29 April 2025 for The Single Malts of Scotland range. The single cask yielded 625 bottles, filled at a cask strength of 59.6%.

Floral and citrus notes sit alongside the darker fruit, chocolate and spice notes of this sherry-cask whisky. It is neither chill-filtered nor coloured. The 0.7-litre bottle comes in gift packaging.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, citrus and floral honey mingle with vanilla and delicate nutty notes. Raisins, dates and figs follow, along with dark chocolate, roasted nuts and a hint of leather.
• Palate: The palate is full-bodied and oily, with intense dried fruit alongside forest honey, rich caramel, candied orange and brown sugar. Lively citrus notes and delicate spice meet spiced oak, while mocha and marzipan remain subtle accents.
• Finish: Dried fruit and sweet fruitiness linger in the long, warming finish. Oak spice and a gentle sherry note combine with lingering vanilla and nuts.

Distillery/Bottler:

Miltonduff was established in 1824 when a mill was converted into a licensed distillery. Today, the Speyside distillery is a production centre for Chivas Brothers, and its malt is an important component of Ballantine’s. This bottling offers the whisky in its own right as a single malt.

Elixir Distillers selected the cask and independently bottled the whisky matured in it under The Single Malts of Scotland brand. The brand traces its roots to Sukhinder Singh’s first cask bottling of his own in 2002. Sukhinder and Rajbir Singh are co-founders and owners of Elixir Distillers; its independent bottling business has borne that name since 2017.
