Peat character takes centre stage in Mister Peat Batch Strength. Vegetal and ashy impressions define this stronger version of the brand, whose original expression is bottled at 46%. At 53.7%, the Batch Strength Edition offers a higher alcohol strength, combining pronounced smoke with fruity and savoury notes.

The single malt retains its natural pale gold colour and is bottled without chill filtration. The bottle contains 0.7 litres and comes without gift packaging.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose is powerfully smoky, evoking peat and burning wood. Salty accents sit alongside earthy and vegetal tones. Vanilla, salted popcorn and bright fruit notes complement the slightly sweet campfire smoke.
• Palate: The whisky is lively and sweet on the palate. Powerful peat smoke and ash meet grilled and smoked meat. Citrus notes and ripe pears add fruit, accompanied by a little honey.
• Finish: The long finish leaves cold ash, roasted coffee and spicy barbecue sauce. Malt bread and herbal notes round out the aftertaste.

Distillery/Bottler:

Mister Peat belongs to the Fox Fitzgerald Brands portfolio. The group began as a whisky trader and later helped Bruichladdich distillery on Islay expand its international business. This led to two business divisions: Fox Fitzgerald Brands focuses on the long-term development of its own brands, while Fox Fitzgerald Whisky Trading operates in the whisky trade.

The team includes Eamonn Jones, Romain Larcheron and Thomas Picard, who bring experience in international sales, brand management and product development. Alongside Mister Peat, the group runs Rest & Be Thankful, a range of independently bottled whiskies and rums. The distillery behind Mister Peat is not disclosed.
