Myken Autumn Gale is a Norwegian Arctic Island Single Malt with a three-year age statement. The whisky matured for a total of three years and ten months, predominantly in ex-sherry casks and additionally in ex-bourbon casks. It is bottled at 51% in 0.7-litre bottles without chill filtration or added colouring.

A peat level of 12.6 ppm shapes its lightly smoky style. Myken uses desalinated Arctic seawater in production and distils slowly in small copper stills.

Vanilla and warm caramel mingle with tart-sweet dried fruit and a delicate veil of smoke. On the palate, honey, dried fruit, sherry notes and lively spices combine in a robust texture. Pronounced woody spice carries the long finish without obscuring the fruit.

Distillery/Bottler:

Myken Destilleri was founded in 2014. The distillery makes its whisky in the old fishing village of Myken, where maturation and bottling also take place. The island lies 32 kilometres off the northern Norwegian coast. Myken uses desalinated seawater and distils slowly in small copper stills.
