Sea Mist is Myken’s smoky single malt from its core range and is 4 years and 11 months old. The distillery combines peated and unpeated barley. Its moderate smoke profile is joined by a maritime, spicy character without obscuring the vanilla, citrus and fresh fruit.
The largest proportion matures in former bourbon casks made from American oak. The cask composition is complemented by a small proportion of whisky matured in casks that previously held Pineau des Charentes, contributing sweetness and roundness.
Sea Mist is bottled at 47% in 0.7-litre bottles. The whisky contains no added colouring and is not chill-filtered.

Founded in 2014, Myken Distillery operates in the old fishing village of Myken, 32 kilometres off the coast of Northern Norway. Production, maturation and bottling all take place there; Sea Mist is a distillery bottling.
The distillery uses desalinated seawater for its whisky and distils slowly in small copper stills.
