Special features: Born from a happy accident, in which 46 barrels matured unnoticed for over a year. This apparent mistake evolved into an aromatic sensation with intense hickory barbecue notes and powerful oak spice. The 2024 Limited Edition was deliberately repeated due to the positive response and receives its distinctive finish in virgin oak casks with char grade 4 to unlock the wood's full potential.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Red fruits, BBQ smoke, roasted walnuts, orange peel
- Palate: Vanilla, toffee, anise, licorice, molasses, Granny Smith apple
- Finish: Medium-long with notes of leather and roasted grain
Distillery/Bottler: Natterjack relies on triple distillation and uses a mashbill of 80% corn and 20% malted barley. Maturation takes place initially in ex-bourbon casks before being finished in virgin oak casks with charcoal grade 4. Bottling is carried out by SSG Trading GmbH.
