Special features: This limited release from Nikka Whisky combines decades of experience and masterful craftsmanship. The composition was created by Junji Iseki, the current chief blender, together with his predecessor Hiromi Ozaki. For this blended whisky, carefully selected whiskies from various vintages were combined, including the Yoichi 1989 Mizunara Cask, the Miyagikyo 1979 Mizunara Cask, and a Ben Nevis Cask from the 1980s. The maturation in Mizunara oak barrels and classic casks significantly contributes to the flavor nuances. Bottled in a black bottle with a silver logo and presented in a silk-lined box that contains additional information and thoughts from the blenders.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Peaty smoke, carried by a fresh sea breeze, combined with the sweet warmth of caramelized crème brûlée. Deep, roasted sesame-like oak notes seamlessly blend with the invigorating freshness of green bamboo.
• Palate: A harmonious mix of fruity sweetness and gentle bitterness. Dark chocolate and woody oak nuances provide a rich, smooth taste.
• Finish: Pleasant and long-lasting, balanced between the soft fullness of peaty smoke and a sweetness reminiscent of dried fruits.
