Special Features:

The miniature barrel collection brings together three distinct whisky styles. Clubhouse is a Blended Scotch made from grain and malt whiskies. Twilight and Fireside are Blended Malts, made exclusively from malt whiskies, aged ten and twelve years respectively. Each barrel-shaped miniature bottle holds 0.05 litres of whisky at 40% alcohol.

For Clubhouse, OSA combines three grain whiskies with fifteen matured malt whiskies from Speyside, the Highlands and Islay. Sweet spice and a trace of peat smoke accompany the blend’s fruit notes. Twilight matures in American white oak casks and offers a lighter, floral character with lemongrass, apple, citrus and ginger. Fireside provides a contrast with mild peat smoke, grassy and mossy notes, and a dry finish.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Clubhouse has aromas of fruit, sweet toffee and malt. Twilight brings floral, grassy and citrus notes to the fore. Fireside shows light peat smoke, oak and toffee on the nose.
• Palate: Clubhouse tastes sweet, with buttery barley and a trace of peat smoke. Twilight combines apple and citrus with a hint of ginger, alongside a soft malt note. Fireside is smooth and slightly sweet, with mild peat smoke and mossy notes joining in.
• Finish: Clubhouse finishes fresh, leaving sweet, grassy malt notes. Twilight ends lightly and freshly, with lingering malt and a hint of smoke. Mossy smoke and a little ash persist in Fireside’s finish, which becomes dry and warming.

Distillery/Bottler:

The collection comes from OSA Fine Spirits, a whisky company that grew out of the Old St. Andrews brand. Robert and Yvonne Haswell founded the company in 1972; it is now based in Kent. OSA brings together malt and grain whiskies from different Scottish regions for Clubhouse and offers two aged Blended Malts in Twilight and Fireside. The barrel-shaped miniatures are part of the brand’s distinctive packaging concept.
