Special features: This rum combines the rich tradition of two Caribbean islands: Jamaica and Barbados. The blend combines rums aged 1-3 years from Barbados with high-ester rums aged 10-15 years from Jamaica. After blending, the rum matures for 3-6 months in small, used Ferrand barrels made of French oak at Château de Bonbonnet in Cognac, France. This process gives the rum depth and complexity.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Hints of black pepper, cloves, cinnamon, baked cherries, and prunes, followed by notes of black tea and wood.
- Palate: Fruity with bright grapes and dried pineapple, spicy with vanilla and pepper.
- Finish: Charming, spicy-sweet with subtle oak.
