Special Features:

Stoneware maturation is central to RAMERO Blanco. Its base is sugarcane molasses rum distilled in Guyana in a Column Still, with a smaller proportion distilled in a Wooden Pot Still. The blend then rests for at least six months in 1,000-litre stoneware vessels. The limited oxygen exchange during this storage contributes to its mellow, balanced character without imparting the wood influence of full maturation in wooden casks.

A small proportion of rum matured in regional red wine casks adds body to the blend. Fully ripe honeydew melon, coconut and a creamy texture define its flavour profile. The dosage is 7 grams per litre. RAMERO Blanco is bottled at 40% in a 0.5-litre bottle and also works well in a Daiquiri or Mojito.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Melon and coconut lead on the nose. Delicate waxy notes and subtle floral hints complement the fruity aroma.
• Palate: The rum is full-bodied and velvety on the palate. Gentle vanilla and caramel notes mingle with coconut and tropical fruit.
• Finish: The finish is long and dry, with restrained fruitiness. It remains mellow, without a sharp alcoholic bite.

Distillery/Bottler:

RAMERO is the work of HEIMAT Distillers in Schwaigern. Marcel Esslinger, Rouven Richter and Raphael Heiche developed the brand following a trip to Guyana in 2017. They source rum distillate there, then mature and blend it in their own cask warehouse. Their cask selection considers both previous contents and sensory characteristics.

The company's roots lie in Rouven Richter's family distillery, where he continues the craft as a fifth-generation distiller. The three friends converted a former natural stone works into the HEIMAT distillery. Richter is responsible for distillation and sensory assessment, while Esslinger handles sales and Heiche helps shape the brand's presentation. For RAMERO, HEIMAT Distillers undertake the further maturation of the rum produced in Guyana.
