Special Features:

Distilled in 2015, the whisky matured for ten years in Bourbon Barrel 2611, made from American oak, and was bottled in 2025 as a single-cask release at cask strength, with an alcohol content of 57%. It has neither added colouring nor chill filtration and is presented in a tube.

Its soft, powdery texture accompanies a profile of rose petal, beeswax, malt, candied ginger and ripe mirabelle plum. Herbal tension leads to honey, nuts and tropical fruit.

The label depicts the cannon in front of the distillery. The design refers to an Indian ceremonial tradition in which Uttar Pradesh is honoured with a symbolic fifteen-gun salute.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose is opulent yet refined. Turkish delight, rose petal and ylang-ylang mingle with a varnish note; with air, beeswax, coriander, pink peppercorn and malted barley emerge.
• Palate: On the palate, the whisky is lean and concentrated. Sweet malt provides a long, continuous thread, accompanied by green herbs, candied ginger and ripe mirabelle plum.
• Finish: The finish is silky and balanced. Candied apricot, hazelnut and chestnut give way to honey; pineapple, lychee and mango linger at length.

Distillery/Bottler:

Founded in 1943, Rampur Distillery stands at the foot of the Himalayas in Uttar Pradesh and belongs to Radico Khaitan Ltd. The pronounced seasonal temperature fluctuations promote intensive cask maturation there.

Rampur Select entered the market in 2016 as the brand’s first internationally launched single malt. The single-cask bottling from Bourbon Barrel 2611 is part of the Itinéraires collection.
