Rampur Barrel Blush is an Indian single malt that is initially matured in American bourbon barrels and then finished in Australian Shiraz wine casks. Bottled at 45%, it is non-chill filtered and contains no colouring.

The bourbon barrels contribute vanilla, oak and gentle spice, while the Shiraz finish adds ripe berries, dark fruit and a subtle trace of tannin. The result combines Rampur's tropical and floral character with vinous depth.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, tropical fruit and delicate floral notes mingle with soft malt notes and oak. Vanilla from American white oak, caramel, toffee, dried dark fruit and spicy warmth from the Australian wine casks complete the aromatic profile.
• Palate: On the palate, sweet fruit and spice combine to create an elegant, full-bodied impression, while the restrained Shiraz note contributes harmonious depth.
• Finish: The finish is long, lingering and generous.

Distillery/Bottler:

Rampur Barrel Blush comes from Rampur Distillery and is part of Radico Khaitan's Rampur single malt portfolio. The company began operating as the Rampur Distillery Company in 1943 and started developing its own brands in 1998.

Rampur is distilled in traditional copper pot stills and matured in the foothills of the Himalayas. Pronounced seasonal temperature contrasts and the intense Indian summer create distinctive maturation conditions there, giving Rampur additional dimension and depth. Master Blender Anup Barik plays a key role in shaping the Rampur range.
