Rampur Single Malt Asava combines maturation in American bourbon barrels with a finish in Indian Cabernet Sauvignon casks. This gives Rampur’s characteristic tropical fruit notes a dry, vinous counterpoint to Manuka honey, vanilla and spicy oak.

This miniature contains 0.05 litres and is bottled at 45% alcohol. The whisky is non-chill-filtered and contains no added colouring.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose reveals tropical fruits alongside apricot, blackberry and plum, followed by subtle hints of tobacco and spices.
• Palate: The whisky feels velvety on the palate, combining the sweetness of Manuka honey with spicy oak and vanilla, while the dry character of the Indian red wine provides balance.
• Finish: The medium-length finish has a generous presence and resonates clearly.

Distillery/Bottler:

Radico Khaitan began operating in 1943 under its former name, Rampur Distillery. Rampur Single Malt is distilled in traditional copper pot stills at the foot of the Himalayas, where the region’s pronounced seasonal contrasts shape the maturation conditions.

Master Blender Anup Barik plays a defining role in the Rampur Single Malt range. The distillery combines traditional distillation with a large facility dedicated to maturing malt spirit and, for Asava, specifically uses Indian Cabernet Sauvignon casks after the American bourbon barrels.
