Special Features: Habitation Velier Renegade is a pure single rum from Grenada, distilled from fresh sugar cane juice. Its three-year maturation took place in ex-French oak and new American virgin oak casks, resulting in remarkable complexity and depth. This limited-edition bottling impressively showcases the characteristic aromatic density of the Habitation Velier series, which consists exclusively of pot still distillates.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Lush and full-bodied, with floral notes of dandelion, honeyed and medicinal hints of sage, and vanilla. Further on, exotic fruit notes of pineapple and kiwi unfold, underpinned by milky coconut and a hint of vetiver sweet grass.
• Palate: Lively and smooth with a spicy opening of menthol, curry, cardamom, and cinnamon. Ginger provides a robust spice, while warm cane sugar syrup adds sweetness. In the mid-palate, vanilla pods combine with dark chocolate pieces, rounded off by a pleasant bitterness.
• Finish: Long and creamy with tannic, fibrous notes of sugar cane. The salty aftertaste reveals apple compote, saffron, and autumnal hints of moss. A subtle aftertaste of artichoke hearts rounds out the taste experience.
