Special features: The Romero & Sons 12-year-old Single Blended Rum combines tradition and innovation. Produced in the heart of Ecuador, it is based on over a century of family experience. Characteristic is the blend of Pot Still Rum made from sugarcane juice and honey, combined with aged molasses rum from the Column Still, which was distilled by the father of the current Master Distiller. The aging took place in selected American and French oak barrels, with no chill filtration or color additives.

  • Palate: Smooth and lush with a fine balance between fruity sweetness and spicy depth.

Distillery/Bottler: The origins of the distillery date back to 1906, when Alfonso Romero began building copper stills in Quito. Today, his grandchildren Johan and Ivanova Romero continue the family business according to old craftsmanship traditions, increasingly focusing on the use of sugarcane honey – a rare, concentrated sugarcane juice. This combination of technical know-how, generational knowledge, and careful selection of raw materials represents the authentic signature of Romero & Sons.
