Special Features:

Release 3 concludes the first worldwide series of three Rosebank Legacy bottlings. The single malt, aged 32 years, was distilled during the final three years of production before the distillery closed in 1993. This edition therefore preserves Rosebank’s historic, fruit-led style from the period before distillation resumed.

The whisky was bottled as a distillery bottling in 2023 at 47.6%, with 0.7 litres per bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and contains no added colouring. Its velvety texture combines tropical fruit and sweet, herbal accents with drying oak and gently warming spice.

The presentation includes a commemorative letter marking the distillery’s reopening to visitors in 2024, as well as an NFC tag on the back label that enables electronic authentication of the bottle.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose is elegant and balanced: sugar sweets, pieces of pineapple and dried apricots mingle with gentle oak, candied ginger, lemon icing and marzipan. White pepper and milky coffee add delicate accents.
• Palate: On the palate, a velvety texture provides good body. Malt, thyme and butterscotch accompany tropical fruit, while drying oak and gently warming spices add structure.
• Finish: The smooth, long finish combines lemon, honey-sweetened porridge and toasted walnut.

Distillery/Bottler:

Rosebank is located in Falkirk in the Scottish Lowlands and developed its complex, fruity and floral house style through triple distillation. Following its closure in 1993, Ian Macleod Distillers acquired the distillery in 2017. During reconstruction at the historic site, the original fabric of the buildings was restored and the former production methods were replicated as closely as possible. On 5 June 2023, new make flowed from the stills for the first time in almost 30 years. The whisky in this bottling, however, comes from the old distillery’s production before its closure.
