Special features: This 21-year-old single malt whisky from the Orkney distillery Scapa has been matured in first-fill American oak casks and bottled at cask strength. The Signature Series 2024 presents itself in a modern design with maritime colors and resembles a decanter.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Aromas of homemade apricot jam, fresh raspberries, ripe bananas, and whipped cream, accompanied by a hint of oak and nutmeg.
- Palate: Fresh peaches and mangoes combine with vanilla cream and condensed milk, while spicy notes of shortbread with cardamom and cinnamon shine through.
- Finish: Persistently sweet and syrupy.
Distillery/Bottler: The Scapa Distillery, founded in 1885, is located on the island of Mainland in the Orkney archipelago. Known for its mild, fruity style, it uses rare Lomond stills that give the distillate a creamy texture. After a comprehensive renovation in 2004, malt whisky has been continuously produced again since 2005.
