Special features: The Scapegrace Black Gin from New Zealand impresses with its natural black color, achieved through the use of botanicals such as aronia berries, saffron, pineapple, and sweet potato. A fascinating feature of this gin is its ability to change from a deep black to a vibrant violet-pink when mixed with tonic water. This effect is achieved by the addition of butterfly pea (Clitoria ternatea), which is responsible for the color change.
