Special Features:

This New Zealand vodka combines wheat-based neutral spirit with water from the Southern Alps. Bottled at 40.6%, it has a velvety texture while remaining clean and balanced.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose is bright and pure, with a hint of grain and a creamy impression.
• Palate: On the palate, the vodka is velvety, clean and balanced. Dry wheat and apple appear first, followed by a note reminiscent of creaming soda. Gentle warmth accompanies the flavours.
• Finish: The finish is viscous and creamy. Sweetness reminiscent of pavlova combines with a floral rose note. Light acidity and a balanced alcohol level support the lingering finish.

Distillery/Bottler:

Scapegrace Distilling Co produces its spirits in Central Otago. The new distillery opened in 2024; alongside vodka, its range includes gin, single malt whisky and ready-to-drink mixed drinks.

Scapegrace uses a copper pot still from John Dore, built in London in 1952, to produce gin and vodka. After service in Great Britain, it moved to Auckland in the 1980s. Scapegrace acquired the still in 2018, when it was already destined for scrap, and restored it. It eventually reached Central Otago via Christchurch.
