Special Features:
Golden Autumn Orchard belongs to the Gardens of Abundance Collection, which was developed for travel retail, and comes from the Glendullan distillery. Its double-oak maturation involved both ex-bourbon casks and American white oak casks. This official 1-litre bottling has an alcohol content of 41.8%, is chill-filtered and contains no colouring.
Toffee apples and pears poached in syrup define the whisky’s fruity side. Vanilla and butterscotch add sweetness, while oak spice gives structure to the finish.
Tasting Notes:
Distillery/Bottler:
Glendullan stands on the River Fiddich near Dufftown in Speyside and began operating in 1897. The distillery uses long fermentation in wooden and stainless-steel vessels as well as slow distillation to create a light, fruity and grassy house style. A second plant was built immediately beside the original site in 1972; both operated in parallel until the older facility closed in 1985. Today, the single malt produced there is released under names including The Singleton of Glendullan.
