Vanilla & Honey is based on fully cask-matured SLYRS Bavarian Single Malt. After maturation, vanilla extracts and honey are added to the whisky. The liqueur has an alcohol content of 30%. The miniature contains 0.05 litres of the same composition available in larger bottles and is ideal for discovering the liqueur or enjoying a small tasting.

The single malt bouquet remains discernible alongside the honey sweetness, while pronounced vanilla and gentle spice shape the character. SLYRS recommends serving it at 16 to 18 °C. The liqueur can be enjoyed neat, served with coffee or sweet dishes, and used in cocktails or milkshakes. The bottle should be stored upright in a dark place.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, the single malt bouquet combines with honey sweetness and a gentle spicy note.
• Palate: On the palate, pleasant honey sweetness meets pronounced vanilla.
• Finish: Vanilla remains present in the long finish, accompanied by a hint of caramel.

Distillery/Bottler:

Following a trip to Scotland in 1994, Florian Stetter developed the idea of a Bavarian single malt; the first SLYRS was distilled in 1999. Since 2007, the company has had its own whisky distillery in Neuhaus on Lake Schliersee. Hans Kemenater, who had already been involved in the first distillation as an apprentice, became managing director in 2017. Since 2025, he has led the company together with Steffen Brandt.

SLYRS uses brewing barley from the Munich area to produce its single malt. The wort is fermented under temperature control using the company's own whisky yeast, then distilled twice in copper pot stills. Generous cuts remove the heads and tails. Maturation begins in new American white oak casks. For its liqueurs, SLYRS reduces the strength of Whisky Classic with water from the nearby Bannwald spring and adds the respective ingredients; for Vanilla & Honey, these are honey and vanilla extracts.
