Special Features:

This single-cask whisky matured for twenty years in a first-fill Oloroso sherry butt. It was distilled on 11 July 2005 and bottled from cask DRU17/A106 #21 on 2 February 2026 for Signatory Vintage's Cask Strength Collection.

The cask strength of 58.4% preserves the bottling's powerful character. The cask yielded 611 bottles of 0.7 litres each; the whisky is non-chill-filtered, contains no added colouring and comes in a metal tin.

The aromatic profile combines raisins, figs, plums and cherries with dark chocolate and espresso. Cinnamon, cloves, honey and nuts add spicy and sweet accents, while orange contributes a citrus nuance.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, dense sherry sweetness and raisins mingle with dates, figs, dark chocolate and roasted nuts. Cinnamon and cloves add spice, while leather and oak emerge in the background.
• Palate: The whisky is full-bodied and powerful on the palate. Dried fruit takes the lead, accompanied by toffee, cocoa, spicy oak, dark fruit and a slightly bitter nuttiness.
• Finish: The finish is long, warming and dry, with lingering notes of sherry, dark chocolate and delicate spices.

Distillery/Bottler:

The specific Speyside distillery behind this bottling has not been disclosed. Signatory Vintage bottled the whisky as an independent bottler for its Cask Strength Collection.

Andrew Symington and his brother founded Signatory Vintage in 1988. Its first release was a 1968 Glenlivet. The company gained a new base when it purchased Edradour Distillery in 2002, and by 2007 its operations had been fully relocated to Pitlochry. Signatory Vintage focuses on selecting characterful casks and independently bottling the whiskies drawn from them.
