Klötenköm Orange adds a delicate fruity orange note to Spitzmund's creamy egg liqueur recipe. Natural vanilla and Jamaican rum remain part of the blend, providing the familiar foundation for this fruity version. The liqueur contains more egg yolk than legally required, and the eggs come from KAT-certified farms. No dairy products, lactose, milk protein, gluten or colouring are used.

The bottle contains 0.5 litres at 20% alcohol. Klötenköm Orange can be enjoyed neat or used in desserts and cocktails. The black bottle features a chicken illustration by Volker Nökel. Store the liqueur in a cool, dark place. If its ingredients separate, bring the bottle to room temperature and shake it vigorously to restore an evenly creamy consistency.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Fresh orange notes meet sweet vanilla on the nose. A hint of exotic spice complements the aroma.
• Palate: The liqueur feels creamy on the palate, with fruity orange and gentle warmth from the rum. Sweetness and freshness balance each other, while fruity acidity complements the soft texture.
• Finish: The long finish reveals delicate citrus and vanilla notes.

Distillery/Bottler:

Spitzmund's story began behind a bar in Kiel. Founder Andreas Werner spent many years developing cocktails there and learning how different flavours work together. In 2013, this experience became the basis for the brand's own spirits recipes. Spitzmund produces in small batches, and Klötenköm became the bestseller in its range.

The design also reflects a creative collaboration: author, comic artist and illustrator Volker Nökel worked with Spitzmund to develop the Klötenköm bottle design. His illustrations also appear on Vanilleköm, Karamellköm and Splitköm, giving the liqueurs a shared visual identity.
