Special Features:

Vanilleköm centres on the flavours of vanilla pudding and creamy vanilla sauce. Cream and skimmed milk powder form its dairy base; the recipe contains no eggs. Ethyl alcohol of agricultural origin provides the alcoholic base. Its restrained flavour leaves room for the vanilla. This cream liqueur is gluten-free but contains lactose.

The individual bottle contains 0.5 litres at 16% alcohol. Its black design features a cat illustration by Volker Nökel. Vanilleköm can be enjoyed neat or over ice and also works as an addition to coffee, desserts and cocktails.

Store the bottle in a cool, dark place and refrigerate it after opening. Spitzmund recommends consuming the liqueur within 1 year; for opened bottles, the brand specifies 4 to 6 months in the refrigerator. If components settle, the creamy consistency can usually be restored by bringing the bottle to room temperature and shaking it vigorously.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose reveals intense Bourbon vanilla with notes of fresh cream. Subtle hints of toffee and a delicate sweetness complement the aroma.
• Palate: On the palate, vanilla combines with rich cream and light caramel notes. The texture is soft and creamy, with a melting mouthfeel reminiscent of vanilla ice cream. The sweetness remains balanced and does not feel sticky.
• Finish: The finish is gentle, with vanilla notes lingering in the mouth for a long time.

Distillery/Bottler:

Spitzmund has its roots in Kiel's bar scene. Founder Andreas Werner spent years developing his own cocktails there. His experience with flavours and recipes laid the foundations for the brand in 2013. Today, the range includes gin as well as egg and cream liqueurs produced in small batches.

Spitzmund collaborates with author, comic artist and illustrator Volker Nökel on the design of its liqueur bottles. The collaboration began with Klötenköm; his illustrations also feature on Vanilleköm, Karamellköm and Splitköm.
