Special Features: This 21-year-old Springbank single malt was refined by Darkness with a finish in specially crafted octave Oloroso sherry casks. The combination of maritime coastal malt and the sweet sherry note creates a harmonious and complex blend.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Candied oranges, chewy caramel, salty sea notes and earthy malt aromas.
- Palate: Balanced interplay of sweet dried fruits, toffee, malty spiciness and woody spices, accompanied by a memory of beach fires.
- Finish: Syrupy peaches, a hint of tart jam, yeasty sourdough and dense, sherry-like oak character.
