Special features: This limited special bottling was created in collaboration with Udo Sonntag and matured for three years in two former Amarone red wine casks from Cantina Lenotti in Bardolino, Italy. The casks were transported directly after emptying the Amarone della Valpolicella Classico to Rüdenau to optimally transfer the intense fruit aromas of the wine into the whisky. The single malt was bottled at 54.2% vol. in only 1,300 bottles.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: An enchanting scent of ripe strawberries, raspberries, and juicy red peaches, accompanied by sweet vanilla cream and refined with fresh mint leaves and subtle cocoa notes.
• Palate: Dense fruit notes of red berry compote, ripe peaches, and creamy vanilla, perfectly balanced with a subtly warming oak spice and a delicate tannin structure.
• Finish: A long aftertaste, where the creamy-sweet red fruit jam harmoniously fades with nougat, gentle peat smoke, subtle ashy nuances, and slightly dry tannins.

Distillery/Bottler: St. Kilian Distillers was founded in 2016 and has since made a name for itself in the production of high-quality single malt whiskies. The distillery uses Scottish pot stills and sources its malt from Scotland to achieve authentic whisky flavors.
