Special features: On the occasion of the 45th anniversary of the German heavy metal legend Grave Digger, St. Kilian Distillers presents the powerful single malt whisky "45 Years of Metal". This whisky was distilled from heavily peated Scottish barley malt with a phenol content of 80 ppm and aged for four years in intense Chianti red wine casks from the Italian region of Tuscany. The result is a wild, untamed composition with character that embodies the essence of the metal universe in liquid form.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Intense peat smoke, accompanied by aromas of ripe grapes, juicy cherries, and sweet peaches, underpinned by fine vanilla and an elegant oak spice.
- Palate: A powerful blend of sweet peat smoke and fruity notes, supported by a subtle ash note and a delicate spice reminiscent of dark chocolate.
- Finish: Long and warming, with lingering peat smoke and a hint of oak that fades slowly.
