Special features: On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of St. Kilian Distillers, the distillery presents the "Signature Edition Ten". This limited release focuses on the variety of malt types used and their influence on flavor. The whisky was matured in ex-bourbon and ex-rum casks and is limited to 10,000 bottles.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Tropical fruit notes of pineapple and peach, accompanied by sweet vanilla cream and a hint of coconut flakes, underlined by crispy barley malt and subtly spicy oak.
- Palate: Seductively sweet and creamy with bourbon vanilla, block malt, and tropical fruit jam, combined with dark toffee and a pleasantly warming oak spice.
- Finish: Creamy caramel and milk chocolate linger pleasantly long with a subtly dry oak spice and a hint of dark bread crust.
Distillery/Bottler: St. Kilian Distillers was founded in 2012 by Andreas Thümmler and has since established itself as one of the largest whisky distilleries in continental Europe. The distillery in Rüdenau in the Odenwald produces according to Scottish tradition and uses traditional copper pot stills.
