Special Features:

The 0.05-litre miniature presents Stauning HØST in the redesigned bottle on a smaller scale. The new HØST design uses less glass, while the whisky remains unchanged.

HØST is a Double Malt made from single malt and malted rye whisky. It initially matures in first-fill bourbon casks and heavily charred new American white oak casks; a finish in first-fill port barriques adds fruit and floral accents. It is bottled at 40.5%.

The broader aromatic spectrum ranges from fresh hay, pear, apricot and cherry to dried fruit and floral accents, followed by toasted oak, caramel and malty cereal notes.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, vanilla, beeswax and citrus fruit open the aromatic profile.
• Palate: On the palate, meadow honey and toffee combine with apple and red berries.
• Finish: The syrupy finish fades with cinnamon, oak and subtle spice, rounded off by a trace of vanilla.

Distillery/Bottler:

Stauning Whisky A/S produces and bottles HØST on Denmark’s west coast, where the whisky also matures. The distillery malts all its locally sourced barley and rye on its own malting floors and also kilns the malt on site. It uses 24 small, direct-fired copper pot stills for double distillation.
