Casks are filled with wet stones and rotated to polish the inside and then lightly toasted. This unique process gives the whisky a special depth and complexity.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Soft and dry with maritime notes of sea breezes and oyster shells, underpinned by earthy, mineral elements and a hint of peat.
- Palate: Smooth, full-bodied, and creamy, starting with sweet aromas that transform into salty nuances in the mid-palate, accompanied by a distinct mineral note.
- Finish: Long-lasting with the typical Talisker spice and a cooling Szechuan pepper effect in the aftertaste, which intensifies with water.
