Special Features: This single malt Scotch whisky from the renowned Tamnavulin Distillery in the Scottish Speyside region was initially aged in American white oak barrels and then finished in former Tempranillo red wine barrels. This innovative cask combination gives the whisky a unique depth and complexity.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Aromatic, fruity notes of red berries, blackcurrants, and rich fruitcake, accompanied by a hint of vanilla pods and caramelized mandarins.
- Palate: Warming and sweet with flavors of figs, maple syrup, toffee apple, peaches, chocolate ganache, and a touch of coffee.
- Finish: Rich, smooth, and aromatic.
Distillery/Bottler: The Tamnavulin Distillery was founded in 1966 in Tomnavoulin, Scotland, and is known for its fruity and approachable whiskies. After a renovation in 2007, the distillery reopened and has been producing at full capacity since then.
