Tanqueray 0.0 brings the juniper-led style of Tanqueray London Dry Gin to an alcohol-free alternative. It uses the same four botanicals: juniper, coriander, angelica and liquorice. Each is steeped in water, heated and distilled separately. Only then are the resulting distillates blended together. This production method processes the botanicals individually before bringing them together to create their shared flavour profile.

Juniper and citrus notes define its character, with vanilla adding to the aromatic range. At 0.0% alcohol, Tanqueray 0.0 is suitable for alcohol-free long drinks with tonic and for cocktails that would otherwise use gin. This version contains 0.7 litres and comes without gift packaging.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, juniper brings a resinous, pine-like aroma. Lemon adds a fresh accent.
• Palate: Juniper takes centre stage on the palate, but feels softer than in a classic gin. Citrus notes follow quickly; coriander adds spice, accompanied by noticeable sweetness. The mouthfeel is lighter and thinner than that of a classic gin, with no alcoholic warmth.
• Finish: The finish fades with floral notes.

Distillery/Bottler:

Charles Tanqueray founded his distillery in London's Bloomsbury district in 1830. His recipe development encompassed more than 300 liquid formulations and led to Tanqueray London Dry Gin. The brand now belongs to Diageo, and Tanqueray 0.0 is produced at Cameronbridge Gin Distillery.

The development of Tanqueray 0.0 focused on bringing the familiar botanical profile to a drink without alcohol. At its launch in February 2021, Master Distiller Terry Fraser explained how the four botanicals are distilled separately with water. The alcohol-free version thus draws on the ingredients of the classic London Dry Gin while using a production process developed specifically for it.
