Special Features:

Teasecco Rosé combines dealcoholised Chardonnay and damson wine with a varied blend of teas. Alongside hibiscus and rooibos, the recipe includes black tea, green tea and Silverneedle tea. Apple, pear, peach and ginger juices, together with herbs, flowers and spices, complete the blend; added carbon dioxide provides the sparkle. The apple and pear juices come from Swabian WiesenObst.

With 0% alcohol, this rosé is suitable as an alcohol-free aperitif and an accompaniment to food. Serve it at 7 to 8 °C in a sparkling wine glass. It pairs well with grilled vegetables, aubergines, beetroot and lentils, as well as couscous, bulgur or mushroom dishes with mild Middle Eastern spices. It can also accompany poultry, duck or veal with fruity or lightly spiced side dishes.

This version contains 0.75 litres and is offered as a best-before-date item.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, floral hibiscus notes meet the tart aromas of rooibos tea. Subtle damson notes with a deep fruit character complete the bouquet.
• Palate: The rosé feels delicate and elegant on the palate. Sweetness and acidity balance each other in a subtle interplay.
• Finish: The long finish leaves a fruity aftertaste.

Distillery/Bottler:

Manufaktur Jörg Geiger GmbH is based in Schlat. Processing WiesenObst fruit from the region is an important part of its work. Farmers and owners of small meadow orchards supply the fruit. The company uses hand-selected fruit harvested separately by variety. By paying higher prices to growers, it creates an economic incentive to continue tending the trees and preserve the traditional meadow orchards.

For its PriSeccos, the company uses herbs, flowers, berries and leaves to highlight or balance the flavour characteristics of individual fruit varieties. Teasecco Rosé also combines fruit with botanical ingredients, but additionally uses dealcoholised wine and several types of tea.
