Special Features:

Soidin is matured entirely in a balanced combination of former Oloroso and PX sherry casks. This maturation shapes its smooth, approachable and sweetly fruity character, with raisins and ripe plums. The double-distilled single malt was launched in October 2025.

The sherry casks are stored in repurposed shipping containers on the distillery grounds, where the temperature fluctuations of the Finnish climate influence maturation. Finnish malted barley and fresh groundwater from the Salpausselkä region are used as the raw materials.

At the 2026 World Whiskies Awards, Soidin received Gold, won the Finnish category for single malts without an age statement and was named Finland’s best single malt. At the 2026 International Wine & Spirit Competition, the bottling earned a silver medal with 93 points.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose is sweet and fruity, with a distinct emphasis on raisins.
• Palate: On the palate, the whisky is smooth, fruity and sweet with raisins.
• Finish: The finish remains fruity for a long time and is accompanied by a subtle note of tar.

Distillery/Bottler:

The family-run Teerenpeli Whisky Distillery was founded in Lahti in 2002. Its original distillery was established in the Taivaanranta restaurant in the city centre; a larger facility in Lotila has supplemented production since 2015. Teerenpeli uses traditional copper stills made in Scotland and matures its whiskies in oak casks, primarily former sherry and bourbon casks. Soidin is an official bottling released directly by the distillery.
