This blanco puts agave centre stage rather than cask maturation. 1800 Silver is made from 100% blue Weber agave, distilled twice and bottled without cask ageing. This version contains 0.7 litres at an alcohol content of 38%.

Sweet fruit, cooked agave and delicate spice notes complement the fresh profile. Its smooth texture makes it approachable both neat and over ice, while it brings its agave character to a Margarita or Paloma.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Fresh agave leads on the nose, accompanied by light citrus notes and a hint of pepper.
• Palate: The tequila feels smooth on the palate. Agave defines the flavour, complemented by light citrus and herbal notes.
• Finish: The short to medium-length finish has a lightly peppery character. The fresh agave note lingers a little longer.

Distillery/Bottler:

1800 Tequila has its roots in Jalisco. The agaves are harvested by hand: the jimadores remove the pointed leaves to expose the plant’s sugar-rich heart. The agaves used for this Silver come from the Jalisco highlands. Their hearts are steamed in masonry ovens, after which the tequila is distilled twice in copper pot stills.

1800’s current production methods include slowly cooking the agave hearts in masonry ovens, then extracting their juice using roller mills. The distillery uses closed stainless steel tanks and its own yeast culture for fermentation. These steps prepare the agave juice for distillation and shape the brand’s house style.
