Special Features:

This 24-year-old single-cask bottling combines Tormore’s fruity character with maturation in a refill American hogshead. Distilled in 2000, the whisky was bottled on 12 March 2025 from cask No. 1264 for Gordon & MacPhail’s Connoisseurs Choice range. The cask yielded 217 bottles of 0.7 litres. The whisky was bottled at cask strength of 56.2%, without chill filtration or added colouring, and comes in gift packaging.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Mandarin peel and green apple mingle with butterscotch, toasted almonds and delicate floral notes.
• Palate: A silky texture carries vanilla cream, honey and custard at first; milk chocolate and lemon cheesecake follow before pineapple and mango emerge.
• Finish: The medium-length finish brings ripe banana and subtle toasted notes of charred oak.

Distillery/Bottler:

Tormore stands in the Cromdale Hills of Speyside. Built in 1959, the distillery soon earned the nickname “Pearl of Speyside” for its architecture. Its fruity whisky was long used mainly in blends and bottled only occasionally as a single malt.

Gordon & MacPhail selected the whisky, oversaw its maturation and bottled it as an independent bottler. George Urquhart established Connoisseurs Choice in the 1960s to bring single malts from individual Scottish distilleries to greater prominence. The range now also includes cask-strength bottlings.
