Distilled at Tormore in August 2015, this single malt matured for ten years in first-fill Amontillado sherry hogshead 333/2015. The Old Friends bottled the whisky as a single-cask release in October 2025, yielding 325 bottles from the cask.

The Amontillado cask shapes the whisky with a pronounced sherry character, juicy orange and distinctive nutty notes. Peach, vanilla and coffee complement its fruity, nutty profile, while sherry spice and oat biscuits broaden the aromatic spectrum.

The whisky was bottled at a cask strength of 54.5%, without added colouring or chill filtration.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Pronounced sherry sets the tone on the nose. Ripe peach, juicy orange, delicate vanilla and a hint of coffee complete the bouquet.
• Palate: On the palate, rich vanilla combines with walnut and toasted almond. A restrained coffee note accompanies the nutty texture.
• Finish: The long finish retains walnut and almond, leaving a balanced fruity aftertaste.

Distillery/Bottler:

Built in 1960, Tormore Distillery stands at the gateway to Speyside and, with an annual capacity of almost five million litres of alcohol, ranks among Scotland’s larger distilleries. Its distinctive architecture has been listed since 1986. Elixir Distillers acquired Tormore in 2022 and resumed production in January 2023 under distillery manager Polly Logan.

The Old Friends acts as the independent bottler for this release. The company selected the single hogshead 333/2015 and released the Tormore matured in it at cask strength in 2025.
