Tyrconnell Single Malt - Neue Ausstattung 2026

Volume: 0.7 litres | Alcohol content: 43% | Chill filtration: Yes | Colouring: Yes

Special Features:

This Irish single malt from the Cooley Distillery is double-distilled and matured in ex-bourbon casks. The bottling contains 0.7 litres, has an alcohol content of 43%, is chill-filtered and has added colouring.

Its non-smoky style combines malt with bright fruit, honeyed sweetness and a smooth, slightly oily texture. Citrus and toasted nuts provide fresh accents, while orange, honey and malt shape its mellow character.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose reveals lemon, orange blossom, vanilla and ripe pear alongside white chocolate, ginger and a hint of dry oak.
• Palate: The whiskey is juicy and fresh on the palate, with pineapple, guava, lemon cake, orange juice and vanilla meeting fresh oak.
• Finish: The finish is mouth-filling and long. Additional spice emerges as malt gradually comes to the fore, while soft fruit, honey and a delicate dryness linger.

Distillery/Bottler:

The story of The Tyrconnell began in 1876 with the racehorse Tyrconnell’s unexpected victory in the National Produce Stakes. To mark the occasion, the Watt family initially created a one-off small batch that went on to become their most popular whiskey.

Today, the Cooley Distillery produces The Tyrconnell as a single malt made entirely from malted barley. Double distillation in traditional copper pot stills preserves the whiskey’s distinctive, creamy and viscous character. Suntory Global Spirits is responsible for the brand and the official bottling.
