Uncharted Whisky Highland Park-Life Refill Sherry Cask 22YO

Volume: 0.7 litres | Alcohol content: 55% | Chill filtration: No | Colouring: No

Special Features:

Park Life 22 is a long-matured Highland Single Malt from refill sherry casks. The restrained cask influence allows the mature, layered distillery character to take centre stage rather than overwhelming it with pronounced sherry notes. After 22 years of maturation, the whisky was bottled at 55% without chill filtration or added colouring.

Caramel sweetness and delicate notes of mint and eucalyptus shape the aroma. On the palate, herbs and creamy vanilla meet an almost imperceptible smoky note. Gentle herbal notes and caramel linger in the smoky-sweet finish.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, caramel sweetness mingles with a hint of mint and eucalyptus.
• Palate: The whisky is powerful and balanced on the palate. Herbal notes mingle with creamy vanilla and an almost imperceptible hint of smoke.
• Finish: The smoky-sweet finish lingers with gentle herbal notes and caramel.

Distillery/Bottler:

The Uncharted Whisky Co. selected this Highland malt and independently bottled the whisky under cask reference UC052. The distillery remains unnamed. Park Life comprises a small range of Highland Single Malts; alongside this 22-year-old bottling from refill sherry casks, it includes a 20-year-old matured in former bourbon casks.

The independent bottler was founded by Jack Breslin and Dana de Vos in Fintry, Scotland. Both previously gained experience in various parts of the Scottish drinks industry. They personally select spirits and suitable casks and work by hand in very small batches. There is no fixed bottling schedule: the deciding factor is when the whisky in its cask has reached the desired maturity.
