Experience N.23 Fluxus brings together whiskies from Germany and Scotland. Three St. Kilian components contribute distinct cask influences: beechwood-smoked whisky from an Amarone cask, plus whiskies from a Banyuls cask and a chestnut-wood cask. The blend also includes Stork Club Rye, Glen Elgin, Glenlossie, Speyside Blended Malt and North British Single Grain.

The name refers to the Fluxus art movement of the 1960s, which challenged boundaries between artistic disciplines. Woven applies that idea to a blend from two whisky-producing nations. The whiskies were married in November 2024; the edition comprises 510 bottles at 47% ABV.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose offers ripe fruit, malty sweetness and wood. An exotic, funky impression and delicate smoke join them.
• Palate: On the palate, bold smoke stands above dark berries, plums and apricots. Floral hints, pronounced grain notes and oak spice provide contrast.
• Finish: The long finish recalls fruit muesli, raisins, cooked apples and charred oak.

Distillery/Bottler:

Woven Whisky is a blending house with a studio in Leith, not a distillery. It sources whiskies from distilleries and brokers to create small, distinctive batches. For storage, blending and bottling, Woven also uses other whisky companies’ facilities.

For Fluxus, Woven selected three differently cask-influenced whiskies from St. Kilian Distillers and combined them with Stork Club Rye, as well as malt and grain whiskies from Scotland. Spreewood Distillers GmbH operates the distillery behind Stork Club Rye. Kristoph Kirsch proposed placing German whisky at the centre of Fluxus’s flavour profile. Freshwater Spirits Company Ltd. is the company behind the Woven Whisky brand.
