Special Features:

Bitter almonds and restrained use of sugar define Zuidam Amaretto. The recipe was created by Fred van Zuidam, father of the current operators and the distillery's former master distiller. The liqueur contains no added fragrances, colourings or flavourings and is bottled at 24% in 0.7-litre bottles.

This amber-coloured liqueur can be enjoyed neat at room temperature or over ice. Its almond character also comes through in an Amaretto Sour, and it lends itself to other cocktails and long drinks.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Distinct notes of almonds and fresh marzipan unfold on the nose, accompanied by vanilla.
• Palate: The liqueur is smooth and full-bodied on the palate. Sweet almond and marzipan notes mingle with a delicate chocolate note.
• Finish: The rounded finish lingers, combining delicate sweetness with the characteristic bitterness of almonds.

Distillery/Bottler:

Zuidam Distillers is an independent family business in Baarle-Nassau in the Netherlands. The family produces its own distillates and extracts and processes them further within its own distillery. Natural raw materials form the basis of a range that includes genever, gin and whisky alongside liqueurs. Bottle and packaging design is also part of the company's approach.
