Special Features:

Genuine vanilla pods from Madagascar form the basis of this liqueur. Zuidam cuts them by hand into pieces measuring about one millimetre and steeps them in neutral alcohol for at least six months. During this time, their aromas pass into the alcohol. Only sugar and water are then added to the resulting extract.

The liqueur contains no added fragrances, colourings or flavourings. Its character combines pronounced vanilla sweetness with delicate spice notes. It has an alcohol content of 24% and comes in a bottle containing 0.7 litres.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Vanilla leads on the nose, accompanied by a gentle spice aroma.
• Palate: The palate shows pronounced sweetness with vanilla and spicy notes.
• Finish: The finish is long, leaving a delicate hint of vanilla.

Distillery/Bottler:

Zuidam Distillers is an independent family business in Baarle-Nassau in the Netherlands. Founder Fred van Zuidam had gained around twenty years of experience at De Kuijper in Schiedam before establishing his own distillery. Today, the second generation runs the company: Patrick van Zuidam focuses on the distillery and production, while his brother Gilbert handles customer relations.

The production and processing of distillates and extracts remain within the family business. Alongside liqueurs, Zuidam also produces genever, gin and whisky. Natural raw materials underpin this work; no artificial fragrances, colourings or flavourings are used.
