Yaku Wari Ecuador Rum 9 y.o. Single Cask #24
Special features: The Yaku Wari 9 Year Single Cask #24 is a handcrafted pot-still rum from the Ecuadorian coastal province of Manabí. Distilled on a private hacienda, which has since ceased operations, only 60 barrels of this brand exist. This rum was aged in a Virgin Oak Cask (#24) and then refined in a secret "Mystery Cask," giving it a unique and expressive profile.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Rich aromas of fresh sugarcane, vanilla, and subtle spices.
Palate: Full-bodied with a fine balance of oak, tropical fruits, and elegant spices.
Finish: Long-lasting, dry with a hint of leather and gentle sweetness.
Distillery/Bottler: The rum is produced on a historic hacienda in the coastal province of Manabí in Ecuador. The distillery has since ceased operations, but the philosophy of Yaku Wari lives on. The name "Yaku Wari" means "untamed water" in the indigenous Quechua language and reflects the powerful and unadulterated character of the rum.
